Shockwave therapy, also known as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (SWT), is an effective treatment for a variety of conditions that affect tendons, muscles, ligaments, and bones:

Musculoskeletal conditions: Tendon injuries, ligament injuries, bone conditions, and other painful soft tissue conditions
Sports and overuse injuries: Such as strained calves and hamstrings, tennis elbow, and golfer's elbow
Neurological disorders: Can help reduce spasticity
Men's Health: May be beneficial as an adjunctive treatment for circulation

Shockwave therapy works by stimulating the body's natural healing process, which can: Increase blood flow, stimulate growth hormones, promote new tissue growth, and breakdown calcific deposits.

I have been a practicing massage therapist since graduating in 2000 and have been a Massage Therapy instructor since 2003, starting at ICT Northumberland College in Halifax Nova Scotia as well as CCMH Halifax and Calgary campuses. I Have been involved with many different sections of the profession from Cruise Ships, land based resorts in other countries, along with setting up a training academy in the UK for the cruise ship spa company. My practice has been varied and dynamic throughout the years ranging from National and professional Athletes, to the theatre and dance communities along with special population groups from chronic pain and neurological conditions. I really enjoy being active and exploring new ways to work with the body. I incorporate a variety of techniques and styles into my treatments and gear everything to what the goals of my clients are.
